The homeowners noticed water coming in near their door frame, and couldn’t figure out where the water was coming from. Once we got there and started looking around, we found high moisture readings throughout the space. We started digging in and found standing water under the sub flooring. The water had been coming in from the outside wall where the landscaping outside came up rather high on the wall around the basement. There was a crack that water was coming in from outside.
This video tells the story of a homeowner who experienced a sudden kitchen flood. Awakened by the sound of rushing water, they discovered their refrigerator leaking. Investigations revealed that recent foundation repair work had inadvertently pinched the fridge’s water line when it was pushed back into place.
